About　SCD

★「スコティッシュカントリーダンス」について / About　SCD　（Scottish　Country　Dance)

ロングワイズ（Longwise）という、数カップルが、２ラインで踊る形で通常踊られます。プログレッシブ（１カップルが踊ると、２番目のカップルと、順番が変わるなど）なダンスであることが、特徴の１つです。
中には、４カップルが四角く並ぶスクエアセットのダンスもあり、様々なレパートリーがあります。

ダンスは、フォーメイションという動きの組み合わせで出来ているので、基本的なステップと、フォーメイションができれば、世界のどこでも、楽しく、簡単に踊れてしまいます。

そして、何よりも、「社交的　”ソシアル”　なダンス」であることが欠かせない特徴です。
クラスでも、パーティでも、たくさんの人と出会い、踊ることができ、楽しみを分かち合うことができるダンスです。

「カントリーダンサーにとって、すべての人が楽しみを分かち合う人々である。そこには、ひっそりとした妬みの視線はなく、楽しさを台無しにするような不機嫌な批評家はおらず、強要させる信者もいない。
喜びに満ちた、陽気な活き活きとした表情があり、すべての瞳には、楽しい笑顔。若者もお年寄りも、ダンスの輪に同じように加わえられるのです。」
